Project/Mission Statement
Window(s) is a video installation that takes the viewer through the process of writing several of the creator’s poems, revealing the text as they are typed out. This intimate and personal place, looking over the shoulder of the writer as they work, serves to heighten the content of the poems, which depict personal and intense emotional states relating to their experiences of queeridentity. This work performs the journey of putting language to life, andshows a behind-the-scenes view of how art gets made, and of how one might write their way to hope, to understanding, to survival.
