What is Conn Giving Day?
Conn Giving Day is an annual fundraising campaign that runs for 1,911 minutes in honor of Conn’s founding year – April 2 at 8 a.m. to April 3 at 3:51 p.m. – with a goal of 1,911 donors.
This initiative is designed to increase philanthropic support for the College, encourage participation from all members of the community, and celebrate the Conn experience. Alumni, parents, families, and friends come together in support of the College’s mission and give to an area that matters most to them, maximizing the collective impact of our community. The key to success? The hard work of volunteers, like Conn Giving Day advocates.
Become an Advocate
The best way for you to make a difference for Connecticut College is to encourage your friends and classmates to join you in making a gift as an Advocate. On GiveCampus, spreading the word is easy, fun, and rewarding because you can celebrate your impact knowing precisely how many clicks, gifts, and dollars your outreach is driving.
Advocates are essential to time-sensitive campaigns like Conn Giving Day. They spread the word and promote awareness of Conn Giving Day, as well as the powerful effects of generosity in the everyday lives of Conn students. By becoming an advocate and encouraging just five of your peers to make a gift, you are already amplifying your impact and shaping the next chapter of Connecticut College.
What does an Advocate do?
– Raise awareness on social media by posting content and sharing with their networks to increase engagement
– Connect with Conn alumni, family, and friends via phone, email, text, and social media
– Make a philanthropic gift of any amount meaningful to the advocate and encourage others to follow their example
Celebrate Your Impact!
As an advocate, you can celebrate your impact knowing precisely how many clicks, gifts, and dollars your outreach is driving. Advocates that generate 15 gifts will receive a Conn koozie! If you generate 25 gifts, you'll get a Conn koozie and a tote bag!
Plus, for our Reunion alum advocates, when you generate 25 gifts you'll also receive an additional two free drink tickets for Reunion Weekend!
Returning Advocates
1. Log into your GiveCampus account.
2. Select the Conn Giving Day 2025 campaign and click the "Become an Advocate" button.
3. Review the GiveCampus Guide for seasoned Advocates.
4. Visit your Advocate Dashboard to get your links, upload a personal plea, and see your stats!
First Time Advocates
1. Review the GiveCampus Guide for new Advocates.
2. Create your GiveCampus account. Once you click sign up, you'll receive an email to confirm your account.
3. Open the Conn Giving Day 2025 campaign and click the "Become an Advocate" button.
4. While you're logged into your GiveCampus account, use any of the buttons at the top of the page to share a link unique to you on social media or through text or email. Visit your Advocate Dashboard to get your links, upload a personal plea, and see your stats!
