Renée Surprenant Fitzgerald

Renée Surprenant Fitzgerald is a Set Designer and Scenic Artist based in Providence, RI. She is the Lecturer of Set Design at Brown University in the Theatre Arts & Performance Studies Department, where she designs and paints many of the department’s productions, teaches design and collaboration courses, and mentors student designers. She frequently designs at the University of Rhode Island, Providence College, and Connecticut College. At Connecticut College, she recently designed the sets for The Moors and Ophelia: Run Amok, and is currently designing The Prom.
