Women’s ice hockey looks to extend 7-game win streak
Camille Phelan ’23 registered her first career hat trick and Erin Dillon ’21 factored into four goals as the Connecticut College women's ice hockey team defeated Salem State in a 9-0 rout on Saturday afternoon at Dayton Arena.
The victory extended the team’s win streak to seven games. The team has outscored opponents 29-2 over the last four games and 21-0 during the last three home games.
Earlier in the season, Dillon was named NESCAC Women’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week for helping the Camels win a game against Salve Regina and a double-header against William Smith. She recorded 10 points on five goals and five assists in the team’s 20-goal outburst over the three games, including her first career hat trick against Salve Regina and a short-handed goal in the second game versus William Smith. She ended that week as the league's leading scorer with eight goals and six assists, while also ranking fourth nationally with 1.56 points per game.
The Camels will host Amherst College at Dayton Arena for a double header this weekend, with games at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11.
