The College's refund policy applies only to a full and formal withdrawal from the College by completing the appropriate paperwork with the Office of the Dean of the College. Students will be financially responsible for all the courses for which they are registered, whether they attend or not. This refund policy is not applicable to students still enrolled at the College and does not apply in the event that classes are temporarily canceled as the College's educational opportunities are not dependent upon a specific number of classes, hours or weeks of instruction
Comprehensive fee refund
The College will refund 100 percent of the comprehensive fee, less the $500 to cover administrative costs, when the Office of the Registrar receives written notice of a full and formal withdrawal from the College prior to the first day of classes. When the Office of the Registrar receives written notice of a full and formal withdrawal from the College on or after the first day of classes, the College will refund the comprehensive fee according to the schedule outlined below.

Student health insurance refund
The College will credit 100 percent of the student health insurance charge when the Office of the Registrar receives written notice of withdrawal prior to the first day of classes in each semester. No refund will be made after this date. Coverage under the College's student health insurance plan will continue for the length of the plan.
Miscellaneous and other charges refund
The College will not adjust any miscellaneous or other charges such as dining, library, parking and health service charges upon a student's withdrawal.
Special students and non-traditional Return to College and graduate programs
The College will refund 100 percent of course fees when the Office of the Registrar receives written notice of withdrawal up to the end of the delete period. No refund will be made after this date. (See the Academic Year calendar for date.)

Refund insurance
In addition to any applicable refund outlined above, Connecticut College makes available to parents and families an independent tuition insurance plan, offered through GradGuard.
The Tuition Refund Plan provides means for protecting parents from the financial consequences of withdrawals and dismissals due to a student's injury or illness.
