One of the fun parts about going to college in a different country is all the new food I can sample. A friend of mine was shocked to discover that, even after being in the United States for a year and a half, I had never tried lobster. Hence, a trip to Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock in New London was planned.
As a huge fan of seafood, I was looking forward to seeing how this differed from the usual seafood I had tried at home. We went to Captain Scott’s and got their clam chowder, which was also new to me, and lobster rolls. The lobster was similar to shrimp but very different at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised at how well seafood could go with bread rolls. In Bangladesh, we usually have it with rice. The roll, buttery and overflowing with lobster chunks, was ample in size and worth the $20.
Close to campus and overlooking the marina, Captain Scott’s is a Conn favorite.
